Animal Encounters

Want to get up close with the exotics?  This is your chance!  Hands-on encounters are currently available with,

• Sloth!
• Baby Alligators!
• Naked Mole Rats!
• Virginia Opossum!
• Raccoon!

There is a 15 minuite time limit for Sloth encounters to minimize stress.  Children under 12 must have a paying adult present.  Encounter price does not include admission, they must be purchased seperately / person.  We do accept walk-ins for enconters, however, we only allow so many per day.  For example, Sloth encounters are limited to a maximum of 3 per day, (up to 4 people in a group per encounter.)  Encounters booked online prior to that day will have priority over walk-ins.

The zoo is open Tuesday - Sunday from 1pm - 6pm.  Encounters are available Tuesday - Sunday from 1pm - 5:30pm, so please plan accordingly.

What to expect?  That depends on the species.  With smaller species such as an baby Alligators or Naked Mole Rats, you get to hold the animal!  For a Sloth encounter you will be taken into the Sloth enclosure with an employee to assist and answer any questions you may have.  Although you aren't allowed to hold a Sloth, you will be able to touch, pet and feed them!

To schedule an encounter follow these simple steps:

1. Add admission to cart.
2. Add the encounter(s) to cart.
3. Repeat for anyone in your group wanting to participate.
4. Check out.
5. While checking out, it will give you an option to send us a note.  Use this space to enter the day and time you would like the encounter.
