This diet was developed to replicate the Prairie Dogs natural intake in the wild. We combine a high-fiber grain with the correct amount of vitamins and minerals to give your Prairie Dog exactly what is needed for proper growth and development in its adult life.

FEEDING INSTRUCTIONS: Offer Exotic Nutrition Prairie Dog diet free choice to your pet daily. Adjust the amount fed to ensure your pet's optimum body weight. Provide timothy pellets or timothy hay products (as 50% of the main diet), offer whole oats or timothy hay treats to vary the diet. Vitamin and mineral supplements are not required when feeding with an Exotic Nutrition food specific for your pet. Only include supplements if your pet's supplements/treats are made up of less than 50% Prairie Dog Diet. Do not leave moistened food in the cage for more than 2 hours or dry food for more than 24 hours. Always provide fresh drinking water to your Prairie Dog. 

*Prairie Dog pups (under 6 months old) can be fed Prairie Dog Diet along with a protein supplement, such as Monkey Biscuits (standard). Sold separately.

STORAGE: Store in a cool, dry place (under 72 °F). Refrigeration is highly recommended to retain full nutritional value. Store bag sealed, in an air-tight container free from pests and insects. Do not frequently expose food to a freeze/thaw cycle. If storing for longer than 8 weeks, refrigerate (up to 6 months). If storing for longer than 6 months, freeze (up to 12 months).
