Prairie Dogs will be in around the end of April or May!  We have reopened reservations for this season (2025) but they are filling up fast!  Reserve yours today!  When they are sold out, that's it until next year!  Please be sure of your reservation.  Reservations are limited, and therefor non-refundable/transferable/cancleable.

Scientific Name: Cynomys

General Information: Prairie Dogs originate from the grasslands of north America.  They crave affection, however, they do best when housed alone.  Otherwise they will bond with each other and not you.  If you want more than one, we suggest housing them seperately.  They can have "playtime" together, but not live together.

The average livespan is 8 - 10 years.  Adult size approximately 1 - 3 lbs.

Diet: We feed a mixture of Prairie Dog diet, monkey biscuits, rodent block.  We give treats of fresh fruit and vegetables.

Permit:  No permit is needed for Florida residents!  Not legal in Alabama.

Pet Boarding: If you are purchasing a pet and unable to pickup right away, are waiting for the next transport route, or waiting for your permit to get finalized, don't worry, we won't resell your pet or cancel your purchase! There is no fee the first 48 hours!  After the first 48, we do have to add a small boarding fee which helps cover the cost of feeding, cleaning, and general care of your pet, while it awaits your (or the transporters) arrival.
